In response to the art show cancellations and gallery closings due to the COVID19 social distancing mandate in Virginia, I’ve created a monthly virtual art exhibit available online showcasing my latest encaustic paintings. This virtual art exhibit for September 2020, is in a video format to hopefully give you a more personal viewing experience. Click the image below to view the exhibit video.

This month, I thought I would create a video of my latest work including a close up view of each piece. The three paintings that I created for this art exhibit are centered around the theme of “My Own Backyard”. With the pandemic limiting my travel plans, I’ve had to stay close to home and focus on nature’s beauty right outside my door in Loudoun County, VA.

Hopefully, this new format will give you a more personal  experience, as if you were attending an art show where you are able to view each piece up close and personal.  I would love to hear what you think about this new format. Click the image below to view the video.

The beauty of encaustic is truly appreciated when viewed in person. It is difficult to see the texture and luminescence of the wax in a 2D digital platform, so I can send additional photographs, video, or zoom conferencing as an opportunity to view the piece “up close”. I also offer studio visits by appointment to view the artwork. My studio is located in Purcellville, Virginia. Simply contact me to set up a time to come by.

A new art exhibit goes out to my “STUDIO INSIDER” group at the beginning of each month BEFORE the paintings are published on my website. This special group is given the opportunity to be FIRST to see each exhibit, To be included in this group, sign up HERE so you don’t miss a single issue.

Enjoy the exhibit and please contact me if you would like more information about a particular piece
