At the Stream’s Edge began in those quiet spots where water slows and life gathers: mossy edges, darting shadows, and the gentle return of spring color. I spent time watching the stream move from fast to slow, seeing how light collects in the shallows and how small ecosystems thrive right at the water’s edge.
In the studio, I turned those impressions into this abstract encaustic piece. Layers of wax, pigment, and subtle texture reflect the movement of water and the gentle colors of early spring: pale greens, soft golds, and hints of blue that suggest a season awaking. Nothing here is meant to be literal. It’s about the feeling of leaning in, noticing the small details, and letting the quiet have its effect.
At the Stream’s Edge invites you to pause for a moment. It’s a reminder that beauty is often found in the in-between spaces, where things slow down and the world feels more personal.
