This scene taken from a trip to the Shenandoah River in northern Virginia, reminds me of how fortunately I am to have a partner in life who “weathers the storms” with me. These trees are deeply intertwined creating a strong bond that can withstand high waters, drought and heavy wind (i.e., the many storms of life.) Mixed media includes encaustic, pigmented shellac, pastels, oils.
