Encaustic painting created outdoors (plein air) at a farm in Western Loudoun County, VA. A trickling stream is a favorite subject matter of mine. I loved the sinuous design of the rapids, and how the golden leaves reflected in the rippling water of this sweet little creek. Mixed media includes encaustic, alcohol inks, and water-soluble encaustic.
